With the floods we have had more time to go out to eat. We have been searching the internet and have found that google will list restaurants and allow patrons to give a review. A town about 10 miles from us had this restaurant listed which we had never heard of in all the years. Our favorite breakfast place in that town closed about five years ago and we stopped going out to breakfast.

Well, the google reviews were 90, and there was not one bad review of this place. We drive over to that part of town and it is in an older part of town where factories once were in the 1800s and there is this street with old fashioned business store fronts and cars parked everywhere.

We enter one of these older store fronts and we are shocked. There must be a 125 people sitting at these long tables which can hold six to a table. The ceiling has the old fashioned stamped tin ceiling with ornate columns, and all the staff have IPADS so when you come in they give you directions to a table where other people are sitting at the other end. They have a breakfast buffet and they offer a full breakfast menu, and within 30 seconds we have wait staff take our drink order, at one minute our orange juice and water is delivered, and by the two minute mark they have inputted our order on the IPAD where my wife gets up and does the buffet and I order off the menu. At about the ten minute mark my breakfast is delivered, and we are shocked at how good everything is including their homemade sausage. They clean the table of our plates and have a printable receipt which tells you what you ordered and the amount which you take to the cashier, and they have sophisticated point of sale equipment which interfaces with the IPADs and thirty seconds later we get our change, leave a tip, say hello to another couple we know, and see the entire waiting area full and people and a line at the front door. These great breakfast meals were fifteen bucks. I am so happy for google reviews, and I love how somebody put a great deal of effort and planning to maximize meal turnover and profit to allow a quality product to be delivered. It appeared the hosts were all young people who have captured technology to deliver a good old fashioned breakfast at a great price with excellent service.

Glad you tried it.

I do not know how some of these businesses stay open if the google reviews trash them. We decided that Saturday night we were going to try this restaurant about 20 miles away. We began reading the google reviews and they were just brutal. They trashed the service. They trashed the price. They trashed almost everything on their menu except the fried chicken. Back in the 1970s we had gone to this place for the chicken, so despite the horrible reviews we went. Most of the reviews were dead cinch correct. Over priced, poor service, but damn.....the chicken was still great. So we are having fun going up to fifty miles looking for restaurants with great google reviews. Some reviewers really do a good detail and honest review of a restaurant, and some you can tell are just never satisfied or the owner's daughter giving false praise. However, we are finding that if you have more than 25 reviews, you begin to have a good idea where you are going.

Has to be classified if it indicates a close location. Some people will use it to obtain info that is none of their business .

Being a ghost and telling ghost stories is innocent fun. However, once I become real, the stories become real, and people get hurt. Ghost stories for all intents and purposes could be pure fantasy, or they could be defamatory toward real people......I vote for ghostdom because nobody gets hurt and we get insight into human behavior without it being personal.
