Every cult needs a graven image to worship... and it's pretty hard to consider them anything but a cult anymore.
Nearly half of Republicans (47 percent) believe that Trump won the popular vote, which is similar to this finding. Larger fractions believe that millions of illegal immigrants voted (68 percent) and that voter fraud happens somewhat or very often (73 percent). Again, this is similar to previous polls.
Moreover, 52 percent said that they would support postponing the 2020 election, and 56 percent said they would do so if both Trump and Republicans in Congress were behind this.
Remember how they screamed that Obama was "trampling the Constitution" (how, they were never very good at explaining -- "He just
is! Hannity said so!") and that he was a "dictator" who would stop there from being an election in 2016, etc., etc., etc.?
When nut-cutting time comes around, it turns out at least half of 'em don't give fucking-shit-one about the Constitution. They'll use it to shine Trump's shoes if he tells 'em to. There's nothing they won't sell out. They'd haul Old Glory down if Trump needed something to wipe with.
And they don't care about Democracy any more than they care about the teachings of Jesus -- it's just some fun shit to talk about. When it's walk-the-walk time, they try to block any investigation into what the Russians did to undermine it.
Turns out they don't love America or anything it stands for... they just hate "libtards." That's all they're about, really.
