I don't think they'll need to mention Trump. Trump will only be viewed as more of a source of alarm as his time goes on. The more bizarre his behavior, and the more his cult digs in to defend the indefensible, the creepier the whole thing seems.

The far left annoys me almost as much as the far right. So, no, your idea of "moderate" is way off. The Dems are far, far closer to centrist than the Republicans are at this point. Republicans have a hard time getting elected if they're centrists, because their party's held hostage by right-wing religious whackjobs who scream "RINO" at anything that's not a full-blown theocrat. Moderate Republicans only have a few states where they still have a chance, and they're becoming rarer every year.
