U.S. Senate candidate from Arizona, Kelli Ward, gives us a perfect example of what's wrong with conservatives. She  tried and failed to unseat McCain in the 2016 campaign and now she's challenging Senator Jeff Flake in the Republican primary for his Senate seat. She exemplifies the typical conservative's complete lack of concern for others.

Just recently she gave a radio interview in which she said that McCain should step down as soon as possible and she should be appointed to replace him. And what a perfect demonstration of the conservative more-for-me-and-up-yours moral philosophy, that is.

McCain, a bonafide hero in a time when the meaning of that word has been reduced to a cliche, is vulnerable now and she's pouncing like an paleoconservative predator. Forget values like loyalty, sacrifice and compassion, this is the shameful reality of conservative policy. The main value of conservatives today is to serve as an example of what NOT to be.

US Senate candidate Kelli Ward, who is challenging Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake in the state's 2018 Republican primary, said Thursday that she hopes Sen. John McCain will step aside as quickly as possible following the news this week of his brain cancer diagnosis.

Ward, who failed in her effort to unseat McCain during last year's primary, also floated the possibility that she would be appointed to McCain's seat should he resign.

"I hope that Senator McCain is going to look long and hard at this, that his family and his advisers are going to look at this, and they're going to advise him to step away as quickly as possible," she said on Indiana radio WOWO 1190 AM. "So that the business of the country and the business of Arizona being represented at the federal level can move forward."

The truly sad thing is that Trump's base would love this and that most Republicans, by remaining silent, assent to her moral depravity.

Well, THAT'S a perfect observation!!

I also heard in another article about this that she had made reference to "end of life" decisions and she knew how difficult these could be. OMG, really? Do these people get special training in cluelessness?
