Another killer cop goes free, and this one walks away with a big cash payoff. Read the link. And cops wonder why we don't love them?

Why shouldn't he be paid his back pay/accrued leave????? That's hardly a "big cash reward". Your bias is clouding your "judgement".......

He was acquitted of the charges. The city wanted to move on without him as an officer. They had no cause for termination. They offered him a deal on a buyout of his retirement and accrued leave. What's the problem here?

He was acquitted because the prosecutor tanked the case. The prosecutor knew that if he got a cop convicted, no cop would ever cooperate with him again.

Cops rarely get prosecuted and almost never convicted because prosecutors need them to make cases so they can keep their stats up and get re-elected.
