What a beautiful week to celebrate the 4th....even better to wake up today to the Blue Angels flying.

Fish fry was awesome. Fried grouper, mullet, snapper, snapper throats, and grilled trigger fish. The kids enjoyed, tubing, jet skiing, swimming and ended with watching the beach fireworks followed by Portofino's display and shooting off fireworks on the dock.

Seaoat hope you enjoy your time with the girls. Magical.

That sounds great joani..!! We had 12 family members w 3 little ones and 2 boyfriend guests. The kids tubed and fished and sailed all day while I finished smoking a brisket that I started the day before. I'm still smiling on the inside... it was a perfect day here too. I hope everyone here enjoyed the day as well.

Way too much fun, and the best news that we may get them for two days a week after they both do two weeks of girl scout camp until they start school in the fall. They keep begging their parents to come out to the islands. They are hooked on nature and the freedom of walking in nature. Way too much fun for grandparents to share this precious time with such special creatures.

Pkrglad you had a good time and glad the brisket turned out wonderful. I've been playing with the idea of getting a smoker but I've been thinking about an electric one it's easier to use. I've never cooked a brisket but I sure do want to.

Seaoat.that's great about the girls being able to come and stay with you to days a week I know you'll enjoy that and they will enjoy it more than anything.

Went through family scrapbooks filled with faded photos. They loved the stories I told, but in a half hour they tired and we had only gone through two scrapbooks. We will pick up more another weekend. The one thing I have learned is the attention span of a five year old is limited. The loved the story where Seaoat in his sophomore year in high school was dissecting frogs in Biology when the teacher left the room, and he cut his frogs head off and got a chair and put his frog head at 12 o'clock high on the clock in the front of the class. It stayed up there until the end of the school year as all the students would make all these comments to the biology teacher about it being frog time.......she never got it, and the frog head turned black and was removed the next year. Bad seaoat. The girls loved the story and wanted more.....but Mrs. Seaoat censored me on some of my stories.....I guess I could be a little bit of a bad boy. Never mean, more like a prankster.
