On the 30th of June they published a story that started out this way:

Trump has shown himself intellectually and emotionally incapable of making the transition from minor entertainment figure to major political figure. He is in the strange position of being a B-list celebrity who is also the most famous man in the world. His recent Twitter attack on Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC’s Morning Joe exemplifies that as much as it does the president’s other by-now-familiar pathologies, notably his strange psychological need to verbally abuse women in physical terms.

“I always tell the president, ‘You don’t need them,’” says Sean Hannity, the self-abasing monkey-butler of the Trump regime. The president, Hannity says, can reach more Americans via Twitter than he could through the conventional media. That isn’t true, of course: Only about one in five Americans uses Twitter. Hannity might be forgiven for not knowing this, a consequence of his much more general habit of not knowing things. But he actually does know the president. How could he possibly believe that this man — this man — does not need them?

The article goes downhill from there. It's not long and well worth a read, especially when you consider that the NATIONAL REVIEW is considered the gold-standard for intellectual conservatism. Which is to say that ignorant racists--who shall remain nameless but you know who I mean--wouldn't be caught dead reading it but intelligent conservatives pay serious attention to it.

And if that wasn't enough, just today, July 3rd, they published another article about the President's tweets titled "How Trump Got CNN Off the Hook". That one starts off this way:

Just when the Trump administration was putting its media opponents on the defensive, the president swept in to rescue the very people he and his fans have labeled as purveyors of “fake news.” That was the net effect of the president’s latest Twitter meltdown in which he elevated Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski from an annoyingly openly partisan liberal TV host into a martyr to journalism. In doing so, he didn’t merely step on his own theme about the bias of his media tormentors; he also reinforced his critics’ belief that bias against his administration was not something to deny but the right thing to openly peddle.

Trump’s instinct to lash out viciously at critics is nothing new. Nor is his willingness to objectify or insult women by referring to their looks. But his fiery tweets are not mere “counterpunches,” as his supporters argue. They are simply beneath the dignity of the presidency. They do great damage to our civic culture, distract the country from his policy agenda, and undermine Republican hopes for what the Trump administration may accomplish.

This article is also is well worth a read.

Trump is such an incompetent boob, he may be doing more to advance the cause of Progressivism than Bernie, Warren and Hillary all put together--not that "The Travelin' Trollop of Hanover Street" is much of a Progressive.

Democrats are only now beginning to talk about Single Payer, an idea that didn't have much traction until Trump got elected. Now, if they'd only start talking about Public Banking. http://www.publicbankinginstitute.org/intro_to_public_banking)

I wonder if Trump will accuse the National Review of being Fake News too? I think they're safe on this account since it involves reading and he'll never see it.

Good to see them telling it like it is.
