CONDITION: This is an estate. The owner had no family or relatives that could provide any information or details on the condition of the pieces. Many/most of the items were located in warehouses/sheds for years. There are varying degrees of condition and there is no way we an assess each piece and make an accurate diagnosis. We encourage buyers to attend one of the two open houses to satisfy themselves of the condition. All items sell as is, where is.

Wow, Hallmark, this is really something -- and so very sad, especially the "Condition" paragraph.   Just really brings it home that things are only things and we can't take them with us, no matter how much they meant to us....

How did you learn of this, I'm wondering?  Just curious.  In any case, thank you for sharing.

Still miss Bob.  A lot.     Sad

Been wondering what happened to his things, and just stumbled across this and knew it could only be one person... I miss Bob. He was a damn good guy...

I drove by his house yesterday and saw the signs for the auction. Took me a couple hours to go over everything once I got to work.

In the past 3 months, I have seen a long white van parked on and off at his house but figured whoever was handling his estate rented his house, but it must have been the auction house.

I was going to bid on a couple items but decided to wait, I noticed when clicking on the bidders on quite a few items it was the same bidder that was bidding it up and this pissed me off. I still may bid on a couple things and have some time.

Hallmark, I thought he had a close 1st cousin?

I may go by there June 6th. Driving home last night also went by and there were several people there cleaning up the front yard in the rain.

His home was literally full of collectables... i should've guessed that there was storage too... lol.

Bob was an authentic character. It was great fun to hang out with he, Teo, yella and Lisa there.

Still bittersweet.

That "stuff" was Bob's life. Bob was much more than stuff or material things. He was a kind and gentle spirit who impacted my life in a positive way, and even in his death he has taught a lesson. Material things no matter how precious to a person do not mean a thing in the end.

It appears they are having the sale on June 12th. I have to get my shots on the 14th and do not think I can make the auction, but still have to pick up a duplex sewage pump for my project from the plumbing supply store and may try to sneak away on Sunday June 10th and spend two days and drop by and bid on something which I can keep to think about Bob. I miss his input on this forum and without those who have passed it is just not as much fun.

So true. I read but do not participate in the shenanigans around here. Sophomoric and boring. Occasionally read a good political point of view but it's not worth posting because the topic will be taken over by nonsense.

I had lunch one day with Bob and Lisa. Bob gave us a tour of the house which was quite the museum. So quirky but Bob was so grounded. No one compares.

Life is good. Plans for a simple summer. New camera so between that and writing I'm quite entertained.

I was kidding around w Bob about this little cast souvenir of the USS Texas. It's was like pickers except that he was trying to give it to me and i was trying to pay him... lol. I wish now that i had accepted.

I think i told him that i was going to have to walk away because we couldn't come to terms... lol.

I have read that auction site a few times, does it appear to you that there is going to be another? I read first of two auctions for that estate?
