Trump invites Duterte to the White House to advise about domestic policies.

Okay, I made that last part up, but still...

"Now, the administration is bracing for an avalanche of criticism from human rights groups. Two senior officials said they expected the State Department and the National Security Council, both of which were caught off guard by the invitation, to raise objections internally."

“By essentially endorsing Duterte’s murderous war on drugs, Trump is now morally complicit in future killings,” said John Sifton, the Asia advocacy director of Human Rights Watch. “Although the traits of his personality likely make it impossible, Trump should be ashamed of himself.”

"Senator Christopher S. Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut and a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said on Twitter, 'We are watching in real time as the American human rights bully pulpit disintegrates into ash.' ”

"After Mr. Trump was elected, Mr. Duterte called to congratulate him. Later, the Philippine leader issued a statement saying that the president-elect had wished him well in his antidrug campaign, which has resulted in the deaths of several thousand people suspected of using or selling narcotics, as well as others who may have had no involvement with drugs."

He's drawing support from the Asia Pacific countries to come up with a counter to China's provocative acts in the South China Sea trade routes. Radical to you when a Republican does it... I'm sure. Rolling Eyes

Analysis on morning news shows claims that the Philippines has no part in our policy with N. Korea. Their leader is disgusting and a total abuser of human rights. He must have said something nice to 45.

Re the article posted here. It is from way last week so who knows what Trump's policy is today?!

Birds of a feather.

He would have invited Mussolini if he were still alive.

Follow the $$$ ....

Century Properties Group Inc. of Manila, the company behind the $150 million tower that’s set to open next year, paid as much as $5 million to use the Trump name, in a licensing agreement that’s common for the president-elect. Trump has at least 10 similar licensing deals around the world, each of which might complicate his administration’s international diplomacy, according to ethics specialists.

But in Manila, there’s an extra connection: Century Properties’ chief executive and controlling stakeholder, Jose E.B. Antonio, was appointed last month to serve as a special government envoy to the U.S. for Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who has vowed to expel American troops from his country and ranted against President Barack Obama. Antonio says he sees no conflict between his public role and private partnership.

https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2016-11-22/trump-s-business-partner-will-be-manila-s-man-in-washington

The scary thing is that Trump has decided to use North Korea as his fallback bogeyman to justify all his administration's failings.

At some point, the pressure is going to be such that he's gonna feel compelled to attack them, and then this circus will take a very dangerous and bloody turn.

He's probably seeking advice on drug policy and urban policing methods.
