Always have, always will, though Obama may've given the U of C a substantial discount (speculating).

Obama will continue to be the epitome of class, while the current occupant remains forever a horse's ass.

Is that a poem or part of the song you're writing?

University of Chicago is in my opinion the top University in America. President Obama loves intellectual stimulus. He is in his element talking to young kids who he believes will shape our collective future. The dullards have always had temporary dominance, history is full of the same. The dark ages only take intelligent people stepping back and allowing barbarians to rule. It can only happen when good people fail to act.

Huh? Unless I'm mistaken, if they've always had it, it ain't temporary.

The University of Chicago produces nothing but hide-bound heterodox economists who refuse to accept the reality of Modern Monetary Theory. The notorious Milton Friedman is an alumnus. Although Milton Friedman died in 2006, he was such an awful person, he should be dug up and killed again. Repeatedly. On  prime time television.

It was primarily University of Chicago economists who, along with American Enterprise Institute fanatics, led the charge for financial deregulation, starting with the Gramm-Leach-Blilley act in '99 which repealed Glass-Steagall and started the tsunami of events that culminated in the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.

So, I guess you could say that your "top University in America" crashed the global economic system. Some top University.

Some top University.

Thank you for once again proving the Lincoln admonishment. Northwestern, University of Chicago, Madison University of Wisconsin, and University of Illinois make Northern Illinois probably the smartest place in the universe. So close in proximity, and so many levels above other universities. Two are public institutions which is remarkable. President Obama was just surrounded by really smart people, and today when he spoke to the students, he really put President Trump down. He used nouns, verbs, and actual succinct concepts when he spoke. I miss this intelligent caring man who will only grow in stature as he shows what a class act he is in retirement.

Elitist crapola. Friedman and the Chicago School have come close to destroying our economy on more than one occasion, most notably during the Reagan years. ..and Scott Walker is trying hard to kill the University of Wisconsin...the school from which he didn't graduate. I agree that President Obama is a breath of fresh air compared to the Dumpster.

Elitist crapola.

Two private universities with enormous endowments, and two public state schools have achieved an elite level of education. Genius is contagious in the right incubator and those four schools blow the competition away. The lack of knowledge about other Chicago economists often leads to over simplification and Wiki summaries. All within about 100 miles. Walker wants to kill the genius and long traditions of the University of Wisconsin. Many a summer night I would bring my family to the student Union and enjoy incredible music on the lake front while camping in Wisconsin. Many a time visiting the classrooms of the south side campus as I drove on LSD and watched the ice sculptures and cherished the educational traditions. Many a time have I seen kids in engineering from U of I going to great careers in California as they shaped the tech revolution, and Northwestern.....their brilliance keeps me alive. I prefer elitist to dullards......just a bad habit I developed over the years, and one I share with President Obama. Those kids at UC were the best and brightest in the nation, he knows it, I know it, and they know it.

Donald's reportedly really hacked off that Obama spoke. Apparently the comparison gets under his thin tangerine rind and makes him jealous.

I think that's really been Donald's problem his entire life -- he wants desperately to be "classy" and admired (really, he needs it, due to that pathological narcissistic personality disorder he's stuck with) but he just can't do it. He's spent most of his life trying to buy things and plate them in gold, hoping that'll look "classy," but the best he can do is this-is-what-poor-people-think-rich-people's-houses-are-like. He's never gotten the respect of the people he wants to fit in with. And Obama is just salt on the wound; he has intelligence and grace, while Trump's a loudmouth oaf. It galls the hell out of him to see Obama effortlessly doing what Trump wishes he could do. All the money in the world, and Trump's still a bratty kid with his nose stuck against a candy store window, unable to buy what he really wants from life.
