Whoa, isn't that a picture of Frank Patti, who runs the market?  His brother, Joey, is the one who died.  Forgive me if I'm mistaken but it looks like Frank (and his suspenders).

1945-2017

Captain Joseph B. Patti, 71, died Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Joseph "Joey" Patti was born on November 9, 1945 to Captain Joe Patti and Anna Patti. He was called home to Our Lord God Almighty on Easter Sunday. He was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. He graduated from Pensacola Catholic High and served in the United States Army.

Joey was multi-talented. There was not an engine that he could not rebuild. He was a top-notch diesel mechanic. As an icon of Pensacola he was known as the #1 street rod racer. Whether it was his vintage supercharged sedans or his many corvettes, one especially known as the corvette dragster the "Patticake", there was not a street race he could not resist. Captain "Joey" was a fun, loving, kind, compassionate, man of God that will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Joey became a boat captain at an early age and was one of the best Captains Pensacola has ever seen following in the footsteps of his father. He successfully weathered many storms and hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico ranging from Key West to Mexico and Central America.

Joey could never remain idle. He and his former wife, Jeanne Patti, started Captain Joey Patti's Seafood Deli. Because he loved the water so much, he eventually returned to shrimping.

Joseph Patti was greeted at Heavens gates by his father, Captain Joe Patti; mother, Anna Patti; brother, Sammy Patti; his nephew, Joseph D. Patti and niece, Ginger Patti.

Survivors include his two sisters, Maria Patti Vann and Josie Patti Merritt; his two brothers, Frank Patti, Sr. and Gerard Patti, Sr. and countless nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his soulmate and best friend, Heidi Gibson.

A Rosary service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Harper- Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, Florida with Fr. Nicholas Schumm presiding. A memorial of his life will follow featuring Pastor Randy Hamil and family. The visitation will continue until 7:00 pm.

On Thursday April 20, 2017 a mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, 3295 Barrancas Avenue, Pensacola, Florida. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be nephews: Michael Vann, Joshua Patti, Gerard Patti, Jr., Sammy Joe Patti, Charles Merritt, Frank Patti, III, Carter Scarritt and Michael Patti.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Patti, Jr., Daniel Patti, Isaac Patti, Jonathan Patti, Donnie Mandel, James Campbell and Tony Minton.

The Patti Family would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Select Specialty Hospital for their great care of our beloved "Joey Patti".
