President Trump is the most evil elected President in American History. Richard Nixon with all his blemishes, established the EPA. A prostitute to big oil and coal. There is no demand for coal. The utility companies have converted to wind and natural gas. Nothing will change the economic reality of coal and its dirty pollution and carbon footprint compared to abundant and cheap natural gas. Eat many oysters from Escambia Bay lately.....? as mercury counts from the Charlie Crist coal fired plant has invested millions to "wash" the coal and cut down the pollutants. President Trump is an evil man. Not because I disagree with his policy, but because he is making this decision almost like a woman scorned by President Obama.....not what is best for the country, coal miners, or the environment. I have lost all hope as a Republican that this man is capable of making any positive changes which I had hoped he was under all the ego a good man. He is not. He is evil to the core.

I heard coal miner's have already gone back to work, yep very bigly. All those coal jobs, auto worker jobs, whoops two of the plants ford is gearing up was agreed upon in the 2015 contract negotiation's with the UAW.

Someone tells him in private that this reg or that reg is bad and costing people money (the person telling him) and he needs to sign off and get rid of all the nasty obama regs. Done

The EPA is kind of top heavy with employee's and regs but it needs to stay and made more efficient.

Just read I believe they call themselves United Women predict the Don will resign on August 18th. lol

Actually what I'm seeing re the most recent presidential "signing" theatrics to restart the coal industry is just that, theatrics. He may think he's doing something grand but it seems that what he'd like to undo is, surprise, more complicated than that and cannot be undone by the stroke of his pen. Even the miners know it is BS because they've seen jobs decreasing over the decades. Market forces for clean renewable energy and cheap natural gas will keep new coal in the ground.

Horizontal fracking and a simple rubber gasket which allowed incredible pressures to release unlimited natural gas as we are now looking at a 300 year supply......coal is dead.....President Trump is clueless. He is so intent in trying to harm the legacy of President Obama who made fun of him.......well do not let America get between an attempt at revenge.

Correction:  It's the James F. Crist generating plant, named after the president of Gulf Power from 1948 to 1955.

Agree that Trump's attempts to decimate all the good environmental progress made during the Obama era -- whether or not his orders are eventually successful -- are purely evil, and his revenge tactics puerile.

Thank you for the correction. I had a tenant who worked on the scrubber who called it charlie christ........good to know. The funny thing is the total jobs in coal mining is 50k. A department store walmart has 25 times the employees of the entire coal industry, yet this fool thinks that he can make coal more competitive in the short term by eliminating the regulations which keep our environment clean. It is an absurd proposition when boards and CEOs of utilities are not going to invest in dirty coal when natural gas peaker plants can be switched on with a combination of wind and existing clean coal plants without down the road reinstating strict environmental regulation. This is more about proving that climate change is a Chinese Hoax, and that President Obama has been wrong about everything. President Trump is evil.

The "fool" doesn't really believe he can bring back coal jobs...he's only pandering to his base. And you didn't mention solar power generation, which is being accomplished on a massive scale. My BIL is running a solar installation in Florida right now and has built plants in AZ, KY, and elsewhere. A Gulf Power rep recently told me that the Pensacola area is also getting a GP solar plant.

And I'm in total agreement with you...Trump, and the people he's brought into his inner circle, are pure evil. They must be stopped, by whatever means necessary.

Bs... she expressed her opinion. I applaud that... even if I disagree. I think the natural market forces will shut it down. It doesn't require an enormous central govt to pick winners and losers. That's the authoritarianism that she pretends to hate... without giving it the same independent thght.

I have never advocated for "an enormous central government"...never. I have asked that the government represent the majority...not the wealthiest. I don't expect government to solve all my problems; I do expect the government to maintain oversight on potentially harmful business practices or products and against foreign enemies that seek to do our country harm (or domestic ones). You don't get to define my thoughts, nor is it your place to analyze them.

Lol Pkr calling bs about shutting down FT is like madam deputy calling bs about trying to frame me as Bill More, although it's obvious the deputy still carries a torch for him. Laughing
