His legal sophistry was obvious to most, but all flim flam men can fool some of the people some of the the time, but they cannot fool all the people all the time. He just had run out of rope. I remember people thinking this man was a learned legal scholar. He was not. He was a moron. I used to laugh at his analysis because it was wrong under constitutional law, but worse, it was wrong under statute. He was a very bad man who knew exactly what he was doing manipulating the truth. I am surprised Fox had the integrity......well I did not read the link....so I may be wrong. He should have never been on TV pretending to be a legal scholar. He was a political hack and although he had good credentials and should have been more familiar with the law, he so slanted his presentations of the law to conform with his libertarian leanings that he finally imploded....it was just a matter of time. A legal scholar is Lawrence Tribe. Not a media hack.

Sea, this guy had to conform in order to continue his appearances . . . . . it was a sham.

I heard he actually made some good decisions from the bench concerning search and seizure, but he was one of the youngest judges in NJ, and he began searching out more exposure from the public doing legal game shows, radio and then the Fox gig. He really hurt the credibility of real legal scholars by knowingly putting false material out there. I had people on this forum defending this sophist, and I was the fool for questioning such a learned man. He was not truthful.

The incident that precipitated his being taken off air was not a "slanted presentation of the law to conform with his libertarian leanings." It was a flat out bunch of conspiracy theory B.S. to support Trump's wire-tapping claims, pure and simple. Nothing to do with the law or Libertarianism.
