Saturday Night Live took on Donald Trump once again. In the show’s cold open, Trump impresario, Alec Baldwin, depicted the president scrambling to cover his lack of political knowledge about how to solve the problems of voters.
Baldwin’s Trump appeared before a town hall full of supporters, where he talked about a whirlwind of developments this week ranging from Neil Gorsuch, the Syrian missile strike, and everything in between. Throughout, Trump tried to connect with the everyday Americans in the room, even though he couldn’t really answer any of their questions or propose any solutions to their concerns.
When one town hall attendee asked about healthcare, Trump threw the blame at Paul Ryan after his failure to replace the Affordable Care Act. Baldwin’s portrayal showed Trump as ineffective at answering questions about subjects like federal benefits and the minimum wage, though all the constituents said they were still behind the president all the way.

“That’s why I came here, you people stand by me no matter what,” Trump said. “It’s like you found a finger in your chili but you still eat the chili cos you told everyone how much you love chili. It’s tremendous.”
