TAMPA — Vocal crowds of demonstrators making weekly visits to the Tampa office of U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio have gotten the Miami Republican booted from the building.

The owner of Bridgeport Center, a gleaming, nine-story office center at 5201 Kennedy Blvd., notified Rubio's office on Feb. 1 that it will not renew its lease. The reason: The rallies have become too disruptive to the other tenants and a costly expense for the company, said Jude Williams, president of America's Capital Partners.

"A professional office building is not a place for that," Williams said. "I understand their cause, but at the end of the day it was a security concern for us.

Rubio is now faced with the prospect of going without a brick-and-mortar office until a new location can be found. Rubio's annual lease expired in December and he has been renting on a month-to-month basis since then working to negotiate a new agreement, according to his office. The staff needs to leave Suite 530 by Friday and does not have a new location lined up. Negotiations with another building recently fell through.

They are causing harm to others. Is this the new definition of peaceful protest? Fair game for all?

My guess is the owners of the building never liked Rubio and were looking for a reason to get rid of him.

Who said the protests weren't peaceful?? Does "vocal" mean not peaceful? News to me.

And what about the "harm to others" that Trump is causing in Palm Beach and NYC?

Depends on your definition of vocal. A loud  protest is still a disruption to everyday buisness

Complete partisan stance o the situation. The good thing...it is not the typical democratic protest....with destruction, burning, looting, and violent confrontations.

Had good Germans been more vocal and protested Hitler, would 20 million people have died in WWII. It is a question of ethics. In regard to politicians leasing offices, it is well known that politicians reward contributors by leasing their buildings at above market rate because John Doe taxpayers is paying for the same. However, this has been a problem in our congressional district for 25 years as protestors constantly gather in front of whoever is our congressman. Protest is as American as the revolution which gave us the freedoms we take for granted......and those folks did more than peaceful protests......in the end it is simple morality.......do you sit back silently as someone abuses children, or do you break the law and knock the SOB to the ground.......does the end justify the means........sometimes it clearly does.

The child abuse analogy is a simple leftist tool to claim a false moral high ground. It also plays into demonizing and dehumanizing those with which you disagree... to again rationalize whatever actions they can deem fit given their justification. I'm actually surprised that you're so easily manipulated.

What you really should ask is the golden rule. If you wouldn't like it done to you... don't do it to others.

Nope.......when American kids are having their families broken apart by storm troopers my analogy does not go far enough. The resistance alone in this regard should be overwhelming. When American kids who know only one country face deportation to stay with their families.......burn the tyrants down.....rally around the flag, and make NO apologies to the racist goals of fascists who hide their immorality behind a veil of law and order.......make every immoral bastard face the moral majority of Americans.

Wrong... if he's actually smart then Mexicans that haven't committed crimes are about to become voters and tax payers. In exchange there will be a wall of sorts... then a patient centered health insurance.

He's been president for like 6 weeks. We're like 2 minutes into the 1st quarter. Buckle up... Poindexter.

You and the other leftists are in for a rough ride if he pulls that off... think garbage disposal.

There actually IS a moral high ground, Doofus. And Trump is not known for his adherence to the Golden Rule. Here he was in 1993:

Yeah we should have the kind of protests Obama had that caused a guy to have surgery. Pretty partisan huh?

"Obama’s election in 2008 was preceded and followed by violent attacks and property destruction targeted against minorities.

Kaylon Johnson, an African American campaign worker for Obama, was physically assaulted for wearing an Obama T-shirt in Louisiana following the 2008 election. The three white male attackers shouted “Fuck Obama!” and “Nigger president!” as they broke Johnson’s nose and fractured his eye-socket, requiring surgery.

More frequently, Obama’s presidency was marked by effigies of our first black president hanging from nooses across the country, for example in Kentucky, Washington State, and Maine, or being burned around the world. What Trump supporters fail to remember is that following Obama’s election, property was destroyed across the country, for example in Pennsylvania, Texas, and North Carolina, and a predominately black church was torched in Massachusetts.

In 2008, anti-Obama protesters lashed out against minorities because of their discontentment with a black man being voted into the office of president for the first time in our nation’s history. Conversely, in 2016, anti-Trump protesters are holding mostly peaceful demonstrations because of their discontentment with a man, who has ostracized minorities, being voted into the office of president."http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/presidential-campaign/305749-republicans-employ-double-standard-to-discredit
