I like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and really like the country sound that came out of Bakersfield, CA in the 50s and 60s, but I am not a fan of modern country music.
That is until I got turned on to Chris Stapleton a few years ago, and now this Sturgill Simpson has my attention.
I also understand that the Bakersfield sound is making a comeback.
It doesn't hurt that Stapleton and Simpson are both from my beloved home state.
