Was anybody able to attend Bob's graveside memorial?

I thought about him all day today, and wish I was able to attend. I hope there was good turnout to celebrate the life of someone who brought all of us the joy of living. I miss our passed forum members. It is very difficult to explain to family and friends why you are sad about somebody you never met. With the new technology, this last 12 years created hours of time with people I will never meet and will forever cherish in my heart the time I was able to share. Bob have a great journey, and enjoy our other forum members, and visit from time to time......everybody else does.

I went Seaoat. It was a small gathering where friends shared heartwarming stories about Bob.

I just wish I could have heard the stories. I so enjoyed T's grandson telling stories about his grandfather. It made the trip worth it. Hopefully, somebody will post a couple of the stories.

Beautiful. He was such a gentle kind soul.

I was unable to attend because of someone promising to take over for me and then leaving while I was with an appointment. I ended up working until 8PM last night. I did earlier this week pull into his drive way and sat there for several minutes saying goodbye to Bob.

That was a great poem and yes Bob was a gentle person.

I just remembered Bob's religion and it made me smile... he was quite the character... lol.

I think he called it sultanism. I hope it's exactly what he envisioned... lol.

It would be nice to think our consciousness continued.

I was there, Seaoat, and I told the story of Bob coming to my birthday party a couple of years ago. He was a little tipsy when he arrived. I finally took him by the hand and led him to the kitchen. He revived when he had eaten & I made sure he was OK to drive. I miss him so much. I know I gave him a hard time on the forum, but he was my buddy and could take the heat.

That's really sweet. I'm really glad you went to his burial. You're ok in my book... but still wrong... lol.

I see his grave is almost under the big tree. You know Bob and Big trees. He could never get grass seed to take until he discovered bird seed. It looks like somebody will need to drop by an spread a little bird seed.

The birdseed/grass drama was one of my favorite ongoing issues with Bob. I wanted to go to the funeral but unfortunately have bronchitis. Got meds for that today. When I'm better I'll drive over, place a flower or a little wreath of bird seed on the site..with a chuckle of course.

Be proactive. Do not think it is simply the same as when you were a young girl. We take our lungs for granted breathing in the poor air quality we created, but as we age our buddies get tired and their health must be closely monitored. I hope you feel better, and could somebody post a google map of Bob's burial location so when I am feeling better I too can sprinkle a little bird seed.......I need to smile right now. Going to T's graveside was touching to both myself and Mrs. Seaoat, and we are sad we could not make Bob's.

Doc gave me four meds this morning. I am feeling relief already. I walk/jog so I use a good capacity of my lungs. I think that's on my side with this.

Twice my bronchitis ( treated with Cipro) ended up bilateral pneumonia, hospitalized both times. Stay on top of it....if you relapse in a coupleof days go back to the doctor.

Plus I developed bilateral achilles tendonitis from the Cipro. Painful.

He gave me four meds: five day antibiotic, medrol pack, codeine, and mucinex D.  He said if any increase in symptoms rather than decrease by Thursday for me to get back in.  I feel he's on top of this.   Thanks for your concern and advice.

Cipro...I'll never go on that again.  Terrible hip pain from it.

Cipro causes tendonitis....hubby got it too.

Yep. The one time I was on it, I started getting pain in my left wrist, and immediately dc'd it; put it on my list of allergies.

Yes, and since back in 2008 I had been temporarily severely handicapped by a similar problem with Arimidex (caused tenosynovitis; wrists hurt so badly I couldn't even pull up a pair of pants, much less play my guitar), that no matter how good a drug is I will now run like hell if it starts to make my joints hurt.
