As it should be from what I saw.

Why can't they train these cops to shoot for the knees and disable them.

But she should be charged.

She committed a crime. She will be found guilty. I hope in the sentencing the family of the victim will go and tell the judge that they can forgive and give this woman the minimum sentence.......but this has to come from the family. Training, new laws which are specific as to use of deadly force which establishes a gradient.

The sad thing is some people on this forum wanted to go on a snipe hunt on this shooting, as they have done before. A couple days to indict, and people think we need anything beyond the videos and our eyesight. Sadly, too many people automatically when a black man is involved in a police shooting want to take us on a snipe hunt........enough. A fair trial is all I ever want, and pray the family can forgive.

I'm not so sure she will be found guilty. She should be. I'm really tired of hearing a cop felt threatened and this is an excuse to kill someone who is unarmed. Hell, if you're armed these days you surely will get shot.

My, my, aren't you just the most wonderful, perfect person in the world.

As for a snipe hunt, I know perfectly well you're talking about me, even if among others, and frankly my dear I don't give a rat's patoot what you think of me, since you don't know chit about me or what's in my heart, even though you're so very sure you do.  You NEVER, EVER listen to what I'm really trying to say to you, but only what YOU want to hear and what fits your obsessive agenda.  THAT is the plain and simple truth.

Nevertheless, for the sake of others I care about (certainly not you!) I will repeat one more time:  my ENTIRE point -- which remains completely valid -- was that I was wrong to immediately swallow and repeat your words that the man was shot with his hands up, when, first of all, I hadn't even seen the video with my own eyes yet, and, second of all, even when I did it was obvious to me that this phraseology was only likely to incite more violence, when it wasn't even clear, to me and many others, exactly what had happened when the actual shooting scene was entirely obstructed from view.

I of course don't know first hand but would be very surprised if the manslaughter charge had been handed down simply based on those less-than-clear videos.   I'd almost guarantee it was done only after further information was garnered, most likely from witnesses and/or the cop's own words (unless there's other video we don't know about).

And of course, the Charlotte violence didn't hurt either, in terms of not-so-subtly pressuring the Tulsa D.A. to move quickly, to hopefully avoid a similar scene in his city.

As for whether or not the woman will be found guilty, no one on earth can predict with any certainty what will happen in that regard, even those who are so cock sure they know more and better than anyone else on just about any subject one can name.

And that last statement is NOT, I repeat NOT, in any way to be construed to imply whether or not I personally believe the woman is guilty.

If the family allows, the state will offer a plea bargain. If it goes to trial, she will be found guilty. No snipe hunt needed on this at all. The charge is not murder with the higher standard, but simply the reasonable man standard of manslaughter. Three officers acted reasonably, and one officer used deadly force which was unreasonable. Keep your canvas bag, I am not going on another snipe hunt with Linda.

We completely agree. I am obsessive in my agenda that every citizen in America should get equal protection under the law. I have seen clearly the past 35 years that black men do not get treated equally as white men by law enforcement. I was appalled by the pretext stop of Commissioner May, yet you wanted the man fired. You tell me that I do not know you. I know when somebody is clueless about this issue and lives in a bubble. A never more clear wrongful criminal act is committed against a black male citizen by law enforcement, and right away you start your snipe hunt to justify your world view of the none existence of pretext and prejudice, and you are right......I do not listen to the irrelevant and uninformed people who confuse my desire that offenders be given fair trials. All I ever want are independent special prosecutors and a jury of the defendants peers holding all citizens accountable under the law for their actions.

I also think the travesty of the bastardized grand jury process in Furgeson Mo. is exactly why we need independent special prosecutors in every state to deal with police violence against citizens. Fair grand juries, fair investigations, fair and independent indictments, and most important fair trials.

THIS IS TOTAL AND COMPLETE BULLSHIT OF THE HIGHLY OFFENSIVE VARIETY,  AND AS USUAL YOU ARE NOT -- I REPEAT NOT -- LISTENING TO ME.   SO PLEASE DO NOT ADDRESS ME AGAIN AND I WILL GRANT YOU THE SAME SILENCE.   YOU, SIR, DO NOT DESERVE CIVIL DISCOURSE BECAUSE YOU FLAT OUT REFUSE TO LISTEN TO ANYONE OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT YOUR OWN DEFECTIVE, EGOMANIACAL THOUGHT PROCESSES MANUFACTURE TO PROVE YOU RIGHT IN YOUR OWN TINY MIND.  YOU ARE SO OBSESSED WITH YOUR AGENDA THAT YOU CAN'T SEE HOW VERY FLAWED YOUR INTERPERSONAL SKILLS ARE, AND HOW OUTRAGEOUSLY WRONG YOUR JUDGMENTS OF OTHERS.   YOU'VE PREVIOUSLY INDICATED YOU BELIEVE THAT THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME BECAUSE I GET SO VERY ANGRY WITH YOU, BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT THE PERSON WITH THE BIG PROBLEM IS YOU.  YOU BRING OUT THE VERY WORST IN OTHER PEOPLE, AND THAT IS CLEARLY WHY YOU INFURIATE SO MANY DECENT FOLKS HERE.
I GENUINELY RUE THE DAY I FIRST THOUGHT IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU.  FOR YEARS IT'S BEEN LIKE TALKING TO A VERY BLANK, VIRTUALLY INHUMAN WALL.   I AM DONE.  HAVE A GREAT REST OF YOUR LIFE, BUT LIVE IT WITHOUT ME AS ONE OF YOUR PUNCHING BAGS.

Sheesh ...

... how can people be so unaware of the concept of trolling and how to deal with it?

Well, thanks. That's just what I need right now is more criticism.

Glen close again. A simple, I think you are wrong Seaoat would suffice. Some get the banter in the sandbox and others do not. However a dead man laying on the pavement without one sworn officer assisting the man or stopping any bleeding for almost three minutes, and an officer from a helicopter who announces on the radio that this man is a bad dude......who did not break any law, had car problems, and was going to his music appreciation class......yep, lets make excuses for this officer and the unprofessional officer who stopped Commissioner May.......training, and perhaps some understanding of the problem would go a long way.

Pk was not criticizing you, he was giving some sound advice to ignore somebody if you believe they are unfair, or wrong, or my case an obnoxious irritant.
