It will cost me over two thousand dollars for paperwork filing fees, fingerprinting, and actual costs of my first prescription of edibles. I emailed my doctor that we will go to Colorado and get our medicine. First, I do not even know if it will help with the pain. If it does not, I am not going to waste thousands of dollars. I will get the edibles in Colorado, and spend a week there. If they help, I will purchase the same.

The state of Illinois is ripping off sick people. Legalize and regulate, but this idea of becoming a Colombian drug lord in each state ripping off sick people.....disgusting. Crime has dropped in Colorado. Law enforcement has been reduced. Tax revenues are at record levels.........life is good. It is time to stop the drug war. It is time to realize opiate pain pills are not good things.

To be honest... the edibles really can't take the place of the pain meds in my case. They are probably better suited to ca and other chronic conditions.

They also sell oils for pain in Colorado.

What is the fee to get a card in Michigan pkr?

My pain is an increase in the background pain..........not like a kidney stone, or recovery from lung removal surgery.......which I call 8-9 levels, rather 4-6 levels which only goes away if I take two opiates, which since Feb. I have only taken six pills and just could grind out the pain when it was 4, but it has escalated since I have metastasis in my bones which will be revealed in more detail in October. I am only hopeful that it can help with that lower level pain, but if it turns out to be widespread bone metastasis then I agree......I will end my time with opiates. I do have hope that the European PRRT treatment will attack any bone metastasis which can lower that background pain. I am hoping to have an Ocreotide scan in October, and hopefully get the PRRT treatment in January. I will have to see if Medicare will pay for the same, If not, we will be going to the health insurance folks and asking them if we can continue on their plan for another year......very grateful for the time i have been given, but it is a never ending fight.

Just my neck again... had c3-c7 fused 2 1/2 years ago. Now there's a spur at c5 growing into rt arm nerve root and c2 is forcing disk into spinal cord... 40% occluded. I see the neurosurgeon on 10/7. The c5 thing should be easy. The c2 fix will be rough. But I have no choice again. It's getting pretty bad.

Thanks joani... we've turned into the walking wounded around here... lol.

I started to read up on the complications of c2 surgery... didn't get far. But I've got to take the chance.

Sorry to hear you're getting worse oat. Maybe if you can get to Colorado will relieve some pain.

pkr sorry to hear you might have to have surgery this morning. I was reading a colostomy and resection this morning and don't really want to have it. Then I researched the surgeon and other's in his office, my surgeon may have some experience doing it but one of his partner's specialize in it. Just how do you go about changing within a practice?

Thanks ppaca... I'm sorry for your troubles too. Don't forget that you're the customer. Think of your request as you would in a restaurant. It's so damn risky dealing with opening the bowel (i had a terrible experience when my bowel was perforated during routine colonoscopy) that you should only accept the very best available.
