No other way to say this.....people in Pace are challenged

I gotta tell you that population figure for Navarre is really quite bizarre when the population of Ft. Walton Beach is only 20,000.
Not sure I'm buying that.

Yes Bob, for several years Navarre was the fastest growing community and Santa Rosa county was the fastest growing county in the nation.

I campaigned for higher salaries for our deputies. They are one of the lowest paid in the state. So many are hired, trained, and forced to leave for better pay.

I did some googling,  Joani.  It's true,  the population of unincorporated Navarre is 31,000.
Six times the population of the incorporated city of Gulf Breeze.   I woulda never thunk it.

There has been an effort to incorporate Navarre with their frustration with the County on zoning issues and local control.
