For any Navy person, this is a BIG deal. That retired 4-star must be appalled now that he realizes what was on the screen behind him.

It's always possible they did it on purpose to marginalize the speech. I am retired Navy and find it incredible that ANYONE with half a brain could make a mistake like that. I can only conclude they did it on purpose. Idiots.

A fleet of Russian ships is not the same as a photo of an American school. It's not in the same category of mistakes. Not even close. That retired 4-star probably spent the first half of his career fighting what those ships represented.

Showing military strength is promoting peace, not war.

Why the surprise?

The backdrop was for world famous Vietnam award winning hero John Kerry who earned one of his Purple Hearts by firing a grenade launcher to close to his own boat.

How could John Kerry, or any of the Progressives be expected to recognize the difference between U.S. Nave Ships and Russian Ships? They could have had Chinese ships flying the Chinese flags and they wouldn't have noticed.

Not that anyone cares, but you know what I think about this. I htink the fact they didnt make sure the background was of US means that it lacks sincerity. They didnt care enough to make sure the pic was accurate.

They actually had to work to put the photo together. The planes flying overhead were photoshopped over the ships. It's not even a "real" photo...it's a fabricated photo.

This is the administration that is in charge of our foreign policy.

My husband says they look like F-5s. F-5s were/are mostly used by the U.S. Air Force. They do not fit in with the photo of Navy ships.

A tribute to our military should at least be done using U.S. ships. The media screws up all the time with mis-naming ships and aircraft but the DNC people doing this backdrop should care enough to at least get the right COUNTRY.
