Now that the USA Freedom Act (how did they leave out "Baby Jesus"??) has passed, it's clear that the NSA was acting unconstitutionally, lied about it to Congress, and no one would've been the wiser had Snowden not appeared on the scene.

His whistleblower creds are bona fide.

So, what's next for Snow?

Is he left to rot in exile forever for exposing something nearly everyone now acknowledges was wrong?

Plea deal?

Pardon?

Just curious where y'all come down on this.

Bush and Obama gave the NSA and him those powers. Not sure. I don't like that he willingly signed a NDA and then cried like a bitch.

A Presidential pardon, but the possibility that people got hurt because the information was disclosed will weigh heavy on the person who makes that decision to pardon.  Sometimes true heroes do not have a happy ending......and Snowden was in an impossible position where he was not going to escape without damage.

Get real! Snowden revealed that our fascist, wholly owned corporatist government is spying on all of us because they don't trust any of us. Fuck anyone who thinks this patriot hero should go to prison!!

He knew the consequences of what he was doing and chose to cause the lives of others to be sacrificed for his own fame.

He is in Russia is he not? I'm sure he is comfortable and happy in the motherland.

That was a good article. In the end, Edward Snowden will historically be remembered in a positive way. He pushed back against the state-run machine, and accomplished a lot. It took big-balls to do it, too.

Put up or shut up -- cite a person who was killed because of Snowden's heroic revelations!

Irony of ironies...the official reports on the damage caused by Snowden are redacted, except for titles and subtitles...because, you know, national security...

All of which means Semi-sane "I know NOSSING! Markle can't produce a single credible statement showing that Snowden's revelations resulted in the deaths of any U.S. subject. Reality!
