A great idea for solving America's battle with young African American men!

A friend of mine wrote the following letter to an editor of an upper New York State newspaper, and I think it's a terrific idea!


"Yesterday, President Obama's response to Baltimore's chaos made three points: This is important. This is significant. These are our kids.

Our national budget is overburdened with billions of dollars to be spent for military purposes. Do we really need to be Big Daddy to the world at a dreadful cost to our own people? Consider the costs for law and order and the massive incarceration rates that convert frustrated, undereducated, under-inspired and unemployed into convicts who yo-yo from prison to the streets and back to prison. By comparison, the costs of a new CCC-type program would be minuscule. The need to get unemployed black and white men back to work, learning responsibility to provide for family, their country and themselves is real.

And so is our country's need to repair tunnels, bridges, roads and other failing infrastructure.

My heart cries out for our country now! So much money and so many lives wasted. We've GOT to take a different route to solve these horrid riots and senseless deaths. These young people need direction, hard work and purpose -- not billy clubs, jail and racial hatred. Obama's right. This is important. This is significant. These are our kids.

This is our country."

They can start by owning the decisions they have made, to stop denigrating women, and value education

They can start by being fathers to their sons and not leaving the parenting to the mommas

Pay child support

And not let their baby mommas have to live off welfare and wic/snap

In a situation where adult men are facing 60% unemployment, you want men to take up their role as fathers, support there families, or pay child support.

And black youngsters should value education -- even when if they get good grades there is no career available to them.

Those problems for Baltimores issues have been all democratically made as Democrats have had full power in Baltimore since the 1930s

I pay my child support. Have done so since may 2004.
Never missed a payment and when I deployed I actually gave more where I could. Nobody has paid my child support for me.

It's not the fault of the rest of America that this group you speak of took the easy road choosing to take what the
Government offered instead of
Bettering themselves.

These folks get the lions share of taxes in public assistance which overburdens the taxpayer. We do get a value from the military that these folks cannot provide. The mil budget, excluding the wasteful f35 is at bare bones and we are fighting five wars

I will say generally that people always want something for nothing if they can get it, but I have yet to meet that person who likes to get a government check.......then again.......there are many who suckle up to the government teat.....and call it work.

Our pants have never been down in the last century, and we could lower our defense spending in half, and still have our pants on.......but you got your corporate welfare and subsidy fighting for MIC, and now we want to give our subsidy to AMERICANS with job creation which does not involve the teat suckers getting government checks. It has to send chills down your back with the thought of not getting a government check.

What is your solution to the problem of black Americans growing up in one parent households, in urban centers where male unemployment exceeds 50%?

What is the incentive for a black boy to study hard if no jobs are available after graduation?

And your record as an absent Dad who pays his child support is about as relevant to this conversation as a discussion of retirement programs to a man hanging onto a life ring in the ocean, surrounded by sharks.

These cities for decades. The Dems solution has been to hand out addtional money for every child produced. How well has that worked? It hasn't and it's created 3-4 generations of what exists today in those Urban centers you refer to. It rewards having children and abdicating responsibility of the fathers and letting the taxpayer foot the bill. Who provided for families that large
100-150 years ago? It sure wasnt the federal government And the taxpayer.

3) again, the jobs issue is a result of democratic politics and unions. Dems have run these urban centers into the ground. Detroit is a great example of failure and run extensively by Democraps.

4) your last take is a desperate red herring to try and deflect the point that your own view on this is bankrupt of logic. I was never an absent dad even when my former spouse decided to try and turn my kids against me. They are old enough to know the whole story now and have even apologized for their moms behavior.

There are more resources for free education and such in regards to this group than for anyone else.

Polices you advocate have cost us Iraq, now under control of ISIS along with much of the Middle East all the way from Afghanistan to the West Coast of Africa. Your policies, your failures.
