The ECSO Jail page shows about 10 arrests of white 19-20 year olds for Liquor Possession.  The residence addresses are mostly Georgia.

Is this an effort to crack down on underage drinking? Or to discourage future Spring Breakers from coming to Pensacola (Beach)?

Cracking down on underage drinking but discouraging Spring-breakers that spend money here. I would rather see them pour the booze out and give a warning.

I couldn't have said it better myself. They should let this stuff slide given the season.

So we shouldn't curb underage drinking because it would be bad for business?   That should not be a factor in enforcement of the law.

They used to do that back in the day ..... and then they'd call your parents.  Do that nowadays and a lot of kids would laugh at the Officer's back as he walked away and go find some more in short order.

Truthfully though ... I believe the drinking age should be lowered to age 18 ... then police could focus on the drunks who are actually doing bad acts, rather than on citizens who are causing no harm/disruption just because they happen to be drinking.

So now what for these ten white kids , their going to have some type of criminal record that will follow them for the rest of their lives ? I wonder if the ECSO made arrest when the blacks use to congregate once a year and left that part of the beach a complete wreck , there was plenty of under age drinking ... I love how it's 10 whites , if they were black would it say 10 blacks .. I care that young people may have to carry a violation of the law around with them for the rest of their lives , something that May prevent them from getting certain jobs ...
