PROCURE FOR PROSTITUTE - Crackdown?

I see on the Escambia County Jailview website that there were a lot of arrests (9) on 8/27/14. All are citing 796.07.2b, which states:

(2) It is unlawful: (b) To offer, or to offer or agree to secure, another for the purpose of prostitution or for any other lewd or indecent act.


All men have been released as of 8/28/14.  But, I saw no corresponding arrests for the hookers.

Does this happen routinely? Seems like it would be more effective to take the "ladies" off the streets.  Instead, they nab the johns - sure to wreak havoc on some of their lives. I'm not supporting their actions, but it seems possibly mean-spirited on the part of the police / sheriff to target the men, who may have to answer to their wives, families, employers.

Many times they will use male cops to catch hookers and female cops to catch the johns.

Fly to Reno and go to a legal brothel.

It is hard to feel sorry for men who engage in risky behavior, such as trying to get some from a street hooker. You might get a lot more; such as arrest by an undercover agent acting like a hooker, or getting mugged by a hooker's partners, or getting a disease.

That's a pretty ridiculous statement considering his picture was posted in the newspaper. Did you think no one would recognize him and know she was his wife? In case you haven't figured it out I don't write articles for the PNJ.
