As people think that AK 47s are a constitutional right.....this will become the norm as our already militarized police will grow and strip our economy of any hope of recovery. Here is a clue.....the Supreme Court made it clear we can regulate firearms.....how about a little common sense. One dead mother who just happened to be in the bank when these folks exercised their constitutional rights.......may the war on the streets begin as gangs militarize and police militarize........My advice......use the drive up window in your armored car.

People walking around with open carry fully automatic military weapons, and you are surprised when gang members easily use the same putting law enforcement at great risk........the birds are coming home to roost. Stupid can only get you so far. Citizens walking the streets of America with military weapons is totally and completely WRONG. Maybe some Latin Kings visiting the movie theater in Gulf Breeze with AK 15 to view the Alamo sounds like a good idea to you when the NRA wins the battle to have Florida an open carry state, but I think folks are going to stop thinking about our police as the enemy and start realizing they want to go home to their family each night and military weaponry under the guise of the 2nd amendment is simply foolish.....Scalia made it clear that regulation is consistent with the second amendment.....start regulating.

This happened in California - a heavily regulated state. Apparently the criminals didn't bother reading them. For others who are unaware of those regulations here is a link:

I've personally never had a desire or felt it necessary to have an "assault rifle". Why bother when a multiple round shotgun or lever action rifle will accomplish the same thing.

Besides, fully automatic firearms are already regulated - it's a very difficult process to purchase one, if the state even allows it.

Of course criminals don't care about all these silly little regulations and stuff......

Agreed, and it become especially problematic with straw purchasers.....the regulations have to begin at the federal level.....The automatic weapon ban was both constitutional and effective. The problem is these weapons are already dispersed among criminal enterprises, and the answer will not be to further militarize our domestic police force. Our founding fathers feared standing armies and the irony of the second amendments concern with the need for militias so standing armies would not be necessary has been wrongfully bootstrapped to the belief that every citizen has the RIGHT to military weapons....the unanimous supreme court would disagree with the same conclusion and regulation is entirely within the power of Congress.

Which weapons do you think should be permissible in this age?
