If you're involved in some sort of impropriety... he's about the last one you'd want looking into it.

He's awesome if you're looking for someone to hector witnesses, repeatedly asking them questions to which he is aware there is no answer, pontificate sanctimoniously about the question for twenty minutes, and then post the whole production on youtube for fund raising purposes.

But, then that's all this really is anyway - a show.

So, I guess he's the right clown to lead the circus.

It's cute when the inquiry into a politically motivated act by one political party is called a political stunt.

http://www.indystar.com/story/opinion/2014/05/07/obama-administration-can-blame-benghazi-investigation/8805019/

"Diversion, subterfuge,Benghazi,Benghazi,Benghazi. ...Why aren't we talking about something else?" House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi complained last week.

Here's why: An e-mail has surfaced from a deputy national security adviser to Susan Rice on how to characterize the Sept. 11,2012,attack on Sunday news programs. He advised Rice, then ambassador to the U.N., that her primary goal was to "underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy." The e-mail was redacted when the most-transparent-administration-in-history provided Benghazi documents to Congress earlier, but was found through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Democrats are furious that the House will hold a vote to create a select committee to investigate the administration's response to the attack in Libya that left four Americans dead. They know this won't end well.

Though White House officials say they were operating on the best intelligence available, they were willfully ignoring information that the attack was preplanned by groups with terrorist links,a fact that undermined President Obama's re-election claim that "al-Qaida is on the run." Cherry-picking intelligence is a big no-no.

It took real effort for the White House to overlook the tsunami of evidence that contradicted its campaign talking points. Before Rice's appearances on Sept. 16,2012,National Public Radio reported that Libya's president had told NPR that al-Qaida was responsible for the "precalculated, preplanned attack." Former deputy CIA director Mike Morell testified last month,"Analysts said from the get-go that al-Qaida was involved."

A former deputy chief of mission in Libya,Gregory Hicks, testified last year his "jaw dropped" when he watched Rice blame the video. Retired Gen. Robert Lovell,on duty at U.S. Africa Command at the time, testified last week,"What we did know ... was that this was a hostile action … a terrorist attack." Last week,FoxNews' Bret Baier asked former national security spokesman Tommy Vietor how the administration came up with its video tale. Vietor replied that there were "guys quoted in newspapers saying (the video is why) they were there." So much for operating on the best intelligence.

White House spokesman Jay Carney improbably claimed that the Rhodes advice was not "explicitly" about Benghazi but about protests throughout the Middle East. CNN's Jake Tapper called Carney's comments "dissembling, obfuscating and … insulting." He was being generous. Rice was dispatched to discuss Benghazi, which is why she was grilled about it on every show.

White House officials brought this House investigation on themselves. They could have avoided it by simply telling the truth. Unfortunately, that was too much to ask.

Good conservatives are scared......there was one damn good conservative representative from Howdy'.s district, who simply said he agreed with the 97% of the scientist because he would lack integrity to do otherwise.....the result is that this conservative was too liberal.......insanity

It's amazing how much you can ignore in order to maintain that inner dialogue... it's truly an inspiration comrade.

I am dead cinch correct.......and you can choose to go insane trying to figure the propaganda associations meant for third graders, or point out the insanity in a way that irritates those who do not want light or logic to be applied to dark disconnected concepts of propaganda......sorry I think.

It doesn't get any more straight forward than this... you are simply refusing to see the truth.

CAUTION..!! ALL DEMOCRATS CLOSE EYES, PUT FINGERS IN EARS, AND YELL LA LA LA BEYOND THIS POINT:

I am so far from being a democrat it is really funny, but I also despise those who now claim to be of the same party as Teddy Roosevelt, Ike, Abe, and Reagan.....you know the trust buster, the big government infrastructure builder, the emancipator, and the cut and run guy who could no more win a Republican primary than Michelle Obama will be the 2016 Republican Candidate.

I am proud of many friends who are not telling Obama jokes, and are beginning to see what has happen to America over the last six years.....the intentional crashing of a country to gain political points, when the changes coming can no more be stopped than the sea level rising in the next 100 years.

Now you cannot help it. You grew up at the end of Jim Crow and De Jure discrimination where children learned that people of color were somewhat less.....and you persist in your charade that this is about government.....yea right.

It's despicable that you would hijack such a noble cause simply to try to win an argument. You lose.

What is despicable is that the argument took this long.

So the White House spun the Benghazi event. What do you expect from any administration in charge?

This isn't an investigation, it's a witch hunt, and nobody really cares.

Jump up and down and scream all you want. Nobody but your little team of old white men is listening ...

I don't like to be lied to... especially not by my govt and public servants.

You apparently find that a radical concept... I find your apathy the flawed position. We the people deserve better.

That's truer than you wanted to admit.

You share many of the same beliefs as my good friend and Socialist/Communist Wordslinger.

As you know too, Jim Crow was a Democrat and part of the Democrat movement to suppress blacks in the South.

Origins of Jim Crow laws

Main article: Disfranchisement after Reconstruction era

During the Reconstruction period of 1865–1877, federal law provided civil rights protection in the U.S. South for freedmen – the African Americans who had formerly been slaves. In the 1870s, Democrats gradually regained power in the Southern legislatures, having used insurgent paramilitary groups, such as the White League and Red Shirts, to disrupt Republican organizing, run Republican officeholders out of town, and intimidate blacks to suppress and discourage their voting. Extensive voter fraud was also used. Gubernatorial elections were close and disputed in Louisiana for years, with increasing violence against blacks during campaigns from 1868 on. In 1877, a national Democratic Party compromise to gain Southern support in the presidential election resulted in the government's withdrawing the last of the federal troops from the South. White Democrats had regained political power in every Southern state.[3] These conservative, white, Democratic Redeemer governments legislated Jim Crow laws, segregating black people from the white population.

We agree. The Dixiecrats are an evil political faction which was predominately in the Democratic Party in former Southern States which in 1948 attempted to form a third party over desegregation......and by the mid sixties they began leaving the Democratic Party in groves as they reconstituted themselves as Republicans, as each of the former confederate states had 150 years of no Republican elected to office until in 2014 the Republican Party dominates the former confederate states.......go figure........

You have yet to do so but I'm persistent.

Please share with us all the list of Democrats who switched parties to be a Republican.
